Call for Proposals 

Welcome to the Virtual Cross Sites 2022 proposal submission page. 

Deadline for Proposals is March 25. 

All notifications will be made by April 29, 2022. 

The Cross Sites 2022 Planning Committee invites virtual presentation proposals for the Infant-Toddler Court Program (ITCP) National Resource Center at ZERO TO THREE 16th annual Cross Sites meeting (CS 2022). Proposals will be considered for live virtual presentations (75 minutes) or shorter on-demand pre-recorded sessions (10 – 20 minutes).

Beginning in 2005, the Safe Babies Court TeamTM at ZERO TO THREE has hosted an annual meeting, Cross Sites, for child welfare professionals, judges, court personnel, service providers, community coordinators, and other stakeholders. The Cross Sites meeting provides a national learning community to share ideas and innovative approaches, learn about the latest scientific practices in the field, and discuss child welfare policies and practices for infants and toddlers and their families in or at-risk of entering the child welfare system. 

Cross Sites 2022 Objectives

  1. Promote and highlight collective leadership practices that include cultural humility, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with an emphasis on elevating parent-engagement and leadership.
  2. Sharing effective strategies for strengthening partnerships among local, state, and national leaders to leverage resources and create sustainable change.
  3. Advancing continuous quality improvement by sharing effective tools, practices, insights, and strategies used in the infant-toddler court team context.
  4. Provide a national forum for the exchange of best practices, emerging concepts, and lessons learned across states and communities including innovations and current challenges facing families and professionals involved with infant-toddler court teams and their communities.

Review Process Overview 

The Infant-Toddler Court Program National Resource Center (NRC) at ZERO TO THREE uses a two-part review process. All identifying information is removed from proposals to support an objective and unbiased review. In the first part of the review process, proposals are read and scored by planning committee members, NRC staff and leadership members who are subject matter specialists. Their scores are based on criteria that consider the interest areas and learning levels of the Virtual Conference audience, the relevance of the content to current work in the field, as well as the innovativeness of the work described in the proposal. In part two, a secondary review by the Cross Sites 2022 executive planning team is made to ensure that all review processes were followed and that the overall program content is well-balanced to the Virtual Conference audience. 

Scoring Criteria for Proposals 

  1. Alignment with the conference objectives; 
  2. Relevance of proposed content to inform field knowledge and enhance practice; and 
  3. Clarity on how the session will include a focus on addressing and advancing equity. 

Presenter Information and Requirements 

Presenting Virtually:  Training to support virtual session planning and orientation to the virtual conference platform are provided, but presenters should carefully reflect on their confidence presenting virtually before they offer a proposal.  Any special scheduling requests should be made at the time of acceptance, but we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated for those submitting proposals for the live virtual sessions. 

Presentation Materials: Presenters will be required to upload supporting presentation materials (typically a PowerPoint deck but can include articles or other handouts) to be shared with attendees on the conference platform by August 1, 2022.  

Registration:

All presenters are required to complete a speaker agreement and register for the conference. We are pleased to offer this conference at no cost to all registrants. 

Disclosure: All presenters will be required to: 

  1. Verify that all reference materials that will be used are current and that all education materials are accurate; 
  2. Verify that all the materials to be used, including handout materials, are free of any liens or encumbrances, or that all necessary permissions and/or licenses have been secured for their use; and 
  3. Disclose any proprietary interest in products, instruments, devices, services, or materials discussed in the session.
